Artist Statement

My art is a journey into the "rich poetry of heart and soul," a practice that allows me to slow down, reflect, and experience life with optimism. Based in Gresham, Oregon, I have been immersed in art since childhood, building my skills through various artistic education programs and teaching artist cohorts.
My work is best known for its vibrant, contemporary acrylic paintings that blend realism with playful impressionism. I often incorporate abundant textures, layers, and sculpting techniques, which allows my intuitive and instinctive style to emerge.
Beyond my personal creations, I am deeply committed to fostering art in the community. As a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT), I enjoy instructing in Zentangle, drawing, mixed media, and painting. I serve as President of the Gresham Area League for the Arts (GALA) and serve on the board for Center for the Arts Foundation, advocating for and curating local artistic endeavors. Through both my art and my community involvement, I aim to share the profound and reflective power of creativity.
