Artist Statement

I began painting when the advent of digital photography made it too difficult to print my own photographs. I don’t find the digital process inspiring. I turned to painting from my photographs and have found a new outlet for my imagery. I’m just getting started!

My work focuses on places that, for some reason, have caught my eye. The subject matter varies between buildings and structures to “found” still life.
