Artist Statement

These paintings celebrate love, warmth, and the quiet joy found in everyday human connection. Through the playful imagery of brightly patterned socks, I explore the beauty of self-expression and the comfort of being unapologetically unique. The crossed feet suggest intimacy, friendship, and love.
The bold palette of electric pinks, vivid blues, lime greens, purples and fluorecent oranges creates a sense of optimism and movement. These colors are intentionally exaggerated to evoke emotion rather than realism, transforming an ordinary subject into something energetic and uplifting. The contrasting patterns symbolize the many personalities, experiences, and identities that coexist harmoniously despite their differences.

Painted in acrylic on canvas, the works embrace simplicity in composition while allowing color and form to carry emotional weight. The flattened perspective and graphic shapes give these pieces a whimsical, contemporary quality, inviting viewers to reconnect with playfulness and nostalgia. My intension is to bring a smile to the viwer's face.
