Artist Statement

In my artwork, I aim to capture the intentional process of pottery-making through movement and texture. For me, cups embody the fusion of function and artistic expression -- a canvas that unfolds with each touch and turn. I add texture to my pieces through layers of thick slip applied by my hand and tools.
I enjoy participating in wood firings because of the community, as well as the unique imprint of ash and flame on my work.
