Artist Statement
I am a San Diego native with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Physiology from UCSD. It was only five years ago that I reinvented myself as a full-time, self-taught 2D mixed media digital artist under the alias name BOOLIE VISION™.
I am inspired by my love of science fiction, fantasy and the metaphysical. By channeling my own thoughts and personal experiences through my art as well as challenging social constructs I can communicate with the world without a need to say anything. The power of my artwork evokes emotion and ignites thoughts of theory and relatedness, open to the interpreter.
My vibrant pieces are created by manipulation of my own original photography, digital painting, textures, collage, found objects, and other elements. There is great depth in each design because of how I incorporate layering for the final result.
