Artist Statement

I strive to create art that stimulates positivity and an escape from the woes of life. I hope the viewer will integrate other senses, in addition to sight, while experiencing my art. The paper-scape creates a Kinetic Balance between black and white and light hopefully providing the viewer with a sense of calm. The relationship between each area, the geometric shapes versus empty spaces, several layers of paper versus no layers, and movement versus static, produces an intellectual playfulness.
