Artist Statement

Cozy Crane Crochet is a crochet boutique based in Voorhees, NJ. It's a handmade, female owned small business, in which I crochet mainly amigurumi, including stuffed animals, snugglers/loveys, dolls, and home decor. I use a variety of yarns including cotton, acrylic, and polyester to achieve different looks. I use cotton and acrylic yarn for smaller, more detailed creations. And I use soft, fluffy polyester for snuggly baby and kid makes. Many of the yarns I use are OEKO-TEX certified, meaning they are tested for over 300 harmful substances. I love to work with both neutral and brilliant colors. I feel that neutral colors are perfect for making lovey/snuggler animals with an heirloom look to them, which are great baby shower gifts. And bold pinks, purples, blues, and greens make for eye-catching fun stuffies that appeal to kids. I also make custom creations based off of people's pets. It's a fun challenge taking a standard pattern and modifying it by adding new spots and markings in specific places to match a real life dog or cat! I enjoy selling my crochet makes at craft fairs and getting to see people’s eyes light up when they spot my booth. Watching the kids point out their favorite animals and hearing their gasps of excitement is the best! My goal is to make heirloom quality, loveable, stylish, and fun crochet projects that will bring joy to my customers for years to come.
