Artist Statement

My work consists of abstract compositions created on glass using a fire-based, flame-activated process. I work with alcohol inks and controlled heat, allowing color, movement, and flame to interact in real time. Each piece is one of a kind and cannot be replicated due to the nature of the materials and process.

The work is created by layering pigments on glass and selectively introducing flame to guide flow, depth, and organic movement. Fire acts as both a tool and a collaborator—shaping edges, creating cellular forms, and revealing natural patterns that cannot be fully planned in advance. While the process involves risk and unpredictability, the final compositions are carefully refined through balance, restraint, and repeated observation.

My goal is to create visually immersive pieces that invite viewers to slow down and engage with color, movement, and light. The finished works are mounted and presented as contemporary wall pieces, designed to hold space both individually and as a cohesive body of work.
