Artist Statement

I get inspired by many of nature's wonders - water, ocean and lakes with their creatures, vegetation and scenery, plantlife, arts, colors and my travels. I have spent many years in Maine and other locations experiencing water scenes on my kayak. Midcentury modern design and its masters such as Ed Wiener also give me ideas, I love to study and learn from other artist’s creations. I work with mixed metals using techniques like copper enameling, flame painting, soldering, patination and even beading. I hope the wearer of my creations can sense the energy I put into the piece.
