Artist Statement

I was born and raised in Humboldt County—so local, in fact, that I was born on the Mad River Bridge on the way to the hospital! Growing up in a family of craftsmen, woodworking became second nature to me at a young age.

In 2017, I officially began designing and manufacturing apiary supplies, turning stacks of wood (and lots of sawdust) into functional, handmade homes for honeybees.

In 2020, I launched Wild Jasmine Creations to help market and sell my beekeeping equipment. At first, it was all about honeybee homes, but as manufacturing apiary supplies proved to be seasonal, I started exploring hardwoods during the off-season. That’s where everything changed. I discovered a growing demand for unique, handcrafted wood products, and I began shifting my focus to cutting boards and charcuterie boards with intricate designs.

Today, my woodworking is showcased in galleries and I do quite a few custom pieces including, furnature, chess boards and other woodworking creations.
