Artist Statement

Digital photographer exploring nature, composition, color. I'm tuned to the changing colors in nature depending on moisture, season, sunlight and shade. I use these colors in nature photos, botanicals, and also in abstractions, often derived from nature.

In photos of people, I try to capture people doing things - working, playing, contemplating, engaging with each other.

In abstractions, I like photos of something ordinary as the basis for a digital composition that is beautiful and interesting. Ordinary things that fuel abstractions include: utility boxes, erased graffiti, street plates & markings, water tanks, doors, windows and shiny objects.
