Artist Statement

Digital photographer exploring nature, composition, color. I'm tuned to the changing colors in nature depending on moisture, season, sunlight and shade. I use these colors in small nature photos I call botanicals, and also in abstractions, often derived from nature.

In photos of people, I like to show people doing things - working, playing, contemplating, engaging with each other.

In abstractions, I start with a photo of something ordinary. I then use digital means to create a composition that is beautiful and interesting. Some ordinary things that became abstractions include: street plates, street markings, water tanks, cisterns, doors, windows and shiny objects.
