Brian Harnett

Artist Statement

A woodworker, cabinet maker and furniture designer since before his army stint in the 1980's, Brian took up chain-saw carving in 2007 and soon realized he had found his calling.
Brian has developed a reputation for unique and original sculptures. He now shows his work and demonstrates his
techniques at art shows all over the northeast.
Brian works with a palette of five saws from big 28 inch
to fine 12 inch bars. He seldom finds a chunk of tree that doesn't have a hidden sculpture.

A New York native, Brian lives in Grahamsville, N.Y.
with his wife and business manager Joan.
