Artist Statement

My clay work has evolved over the past several years. I love the drama that charcoal clay and underglaze color yields. My main focus, however, remains the magic and mystery of alternative firing, including raku, obvara, naked raku and saggar. I search constantly for new forms, surfaces and techniques to use in my work.
