Artist Statement

I am a San Francisco Bay Area artist and educator working in photography, interdisciplinary media, and installation. Through my art I examine states of being, memory and transitions. In these works, I seek the unexpected – a moment of stillness in a chaotic world, humor in the face of seriousness, an intimate point of view that calls up subconscious memories. I attempt to convey the way a moment in time feels, even more than how it looks.
