Artist Statement

Original photography. UV cured pigment inkjet on hand burnished metal composite panels creates amazing 3-D depth and movement.

Using a variety of power hand tools like sanders, grinders and wire brushes I create layers of luminous texture - polished reflective patterns on aluminum composite panels, then print my super high resolution photographic images (mostly trees) on top with a special kind of pigmented inkjet printer that cures the image with powerful LED UV lamps.

The result are works of art with astonishing 3-D depth and movement. Notice the artwork as you walk by, or stop and sway from side to side as you look at it. See how light reflecting off the luminous background moves with you, then suddenly stops where the image begins!

My art is a loving and respectful celebration of common natural forms and it is about how our miraculous minds create 'reality' from sketchy visual perceptions.
