Peter Chodelka

Artist Statement

Peter is an artist specializing in literary illustration and comics. Their art explores themes of identity, self-discovery, and the haunting effects of memory. Characters in Peter's stories grapple with the monotony of adulthood, uncertainty of youth, and scars of the past. While they fluctuate between digital and traditional methods, a consistent expression of color and texture coheres their body of work. When Peter's not creating, they teach art classes, organize anthologies, and volunteer at events.

Peter graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in illustration and is currently seeking representation.
