Breanna Santos

Artist Statement

Breanna Eleanor Santos (b. 2004) is a Detroit-based visual artist whose practice centers on the anxieties, as well as acceptance, of the body’s inevitable mechanisms and limitations. Combining mythology, philosophy, and their lived experience as a Filipino-American, Santos' unearthly images examine the pressures that come with having a body that will age and decay.

Santos holds a BFA in Illustration from the College for Creative Studies. Their work has been exhibited in galleries from Metro-Detroit to San Francisco.
