Artist Statement

Many years ago, I had a small kiln for enameling. I always wanted to get back to working with enamels. After a career in graphic design and production work, I've been able to return to enameling on copper, producing jewelry, bowls and dishes. I especially love working on bowls and dishes - I find vintage, mid-century modern, antique and contemporary-made copper pieces which I enamel. It’s like working on a blank canvas. I enamel only - I do not make the copper pieces. I derive satisfaction from working with colors, experimenting with different enamels, and making pieces that will last and be cherished.
