Artist Statement

My ceramic art ranges from functional to sculptural. To provide multisensory participation for my audience I orient towards rich textures and moving/audible elements. To optimize for fun and technical challenge per pound of clay during my making process, I make complex forms that combine eclectic techniques. My goal is to foster curiosity about different ways to see and experience the world. Some themes that inform my art include mental health, identity, and nature.
