Annie Stone

Artist Statement

My name is Annie Stone. I am a creative artist working to make art of my local area, Wells Maine.
I focus on local land and sea scapes and balance that with figure work.
Most of my work is inspired by the impressionists and sometimes just the crazy way I see things.
I am moved by the colors and shapes of our environment , telling a story of a place in time for the simple satisfaction of the experience. Working outside has been my biggest challenge and my weekly drawing group has been my biggest support.
My biggest inspiration has been working with DeWitt Hardy and Don Stone.
