Artist Statement

I am a self-taught illustrator and muralist based in White Plains, New York. I create bright and happy character-based illustrations influenced by a love for nature and city living.
My love for undersea creatures started after I got to go scuba diving on a vacation in the Southern Philippines when I was a young person. All beautiful shapes and colors from that brief experience has stayed with me all these years.

I use rollerball pens and felt-tip markers to bring my universe of animals to life. I love working with repeating lines and shapes, along with mark-making, to make my practice a meditative experience.
