Artist Statement

Bill Stephens is a watercolour and ink artist from Dorchester, Ontario. He captures the essence of his travels through meticulously detailed paintings. Inspired by architectural beauty, his work invites viewers to experience the places he encounters, often featuring historically significant buildings at risk of modernization. The artist spends many hours trying to capture as much of the detail and the beauty in the buildings that he paints - whether it be a business or a decaying barn. These beautiful buildings have stood the test of time, and he tries to capture their stories before they are gone forever.
