Artist Statement

Art requires a unique type of empathy, one that develops slowly as you explore both the ephemeral uniqueness and, simultaneously, the enduring timelessness of a particular scene, object, creature, or sitter. I hope my paintings can engender the same sense of wonder and appreciation I have every day, for the everyday.
