Artist Statement

My work engages the sheer love for color and creativity, with the ever friendly and versatility of acrylic paint on canvas. Designed to elicit the spirit of the soul, my creations are inspired by music, lilting moments, and reflective thoughts. I implement numerous different techniques, brushes, and tools, always experimenting, and always learning. I go for the ‘POP’ of color, hoping people hold their gaze upon the art, hoping the paintings ‘speak’ to the viewers. Every painting is named, and the names come to me as they are completed. I LOVE every aspect of creating art, I paint to relax and the art GIVES BACK! I love when many pieces of my art are hanging together. I had a one woman show and sold many paintings. I think, with abstract art, it's important to give the buyer a variety of choices, colors, and compositions, as many buy abstract art to enhance the decorating of their homes. Sometimes buyers will pick out the painting first and decorate around it. That's exotic! My dream is to have another one woman show or perhaps, show my work with just two or three other artists and fill the gallery!
