David Whitmore

Artist Statement

My art practice involves drawing, painting, graphic design, found object sculpture, photography and text. Much of my work during the recent pandemic has involved adventuring with experimental Iphone photo and text constructions, created following long walks through suburban neighborhoods and along the Potomac River. Each of my entries for this exhibition is based on an experimentation with form, and swimming with poetic, political, playful narratives.
