David Rodstein

Artist Statement

David Rodstein has an extensive lighting design, drawing, sculpture and painting background that integrates with his photography. Style can be described as a trio of subject matter, composition, and lighting which evokes the emotions of the viewer. Rodstein has studied photography under Judy Linn, of the creative circle of Robert Mapplethorpe and Patti Smith. David also studied under photographer George Knoblach: a muse and critic, who specialized in underwater photography and portraiture of Hollywood celebrities.
