Jamie Graham

Artist Statement

Jamie Graham is a textile, ceramic and mixed media artist. After being a massage therapist and acupuncturist for many years, textile art became her life passion when she had a vision of a textile piece during meditation. Much of her work centers on her connection to nature. She loves getting her hands “in the mud” with ceramics. Watching a piece transform from plain white fabric or a lump of clay to a work of art fascinates and amazes her with the mystery of creation. Photography is another passion. She learned to capture moments in time as an editor of a weekly newspaper with a small staff. She learned the fascination of watching a print develop in the dark room and then the brilliance of digital photography.
