Artist Statement

I consider myself a craftsperson first but I cannot forget my foundation, which is painting. Watercolors are the most attractive because layering colors is similar to layering colored glass, so it’s common ground between two extremely different processes. These three paintings are from a series depicting subway, El and trolley stations in Philadelphia, PA.
