Artist Statement

My artwork is the visual exploration of what being present and grounded means.

I am not looking for a faithful representation of reality, my goal is to capture the feeling, the specific moment in time that is important to me, using metaphors and surreal elements to give my feelings visual manifestation.

I employ thick texture, strong colors, transparency, metallic, iridescent, and pearlescent acrylic paints to enhance the physical experience of each painting and represent the multilayer complexity of human perception.
