Artist Statement

I am a fulltime physician assistant working in urgent care and a mother of a child who was born at the onset of the pandemic amid life-threatening Covid complications. During my time off from work and motherhood, I am a self-taught digital artist, creating art to vend at conventions. Despite my years in medicine, I could not avoid the call and comfort of art. With the encouragement and support of my husband, I've been able to nurture a small art business in the past few years. My goal is to build my business, be able share my work with more people, and inspire others to follow their passions.

My artwork explores fantastical landscapes, dissects surreal concepts and interprets various myths around the world through my own imaginative lens. Working mostly in digital, I delve into detailed storytelling Illustrations that focus on flow, from composition to shape of the character and elements of landscape. My work draws on various details from mythology ad invites the viewer to look deeper. Within the vibrant colors and beautiful figures lies a darker undertone.
