Artist Statement
Botanical eco printing uses minerals and tannins to transfer natural colors and shapes from plants onto fibers. It is like printing a photo directly from the leaves to the fabric. I harvest all the plants and flowers to print from all around the San Francisco Bay Area. I also collect wild mushroom to create the color that decorates the fabric. Each piece is handmade and it takes several days process to make, and each piece is unique and cannot be recreated. I aim to create a sustainable art using nature.
