Artist Statement

I grew up hiking coastal forests, passing through the fog and loving the mystery of all the hidden life. The series I am submitting is the result of my attempt to capture the very essence of those forests. The fog, the earthy scent as you walk through the trees. If these paintings capture that feeling for the viewer I have been successful.
