Artist Statement

My artwork seeks to explore the power, strength and duality of the Black American experience . I recognize that Black Americans are not a monolith. My works are an examination of the influence of Black American Culture through the lenses of Expressionist Oil, Mixed Media and Digital Painting. My intention is shine light on the global impact of Black American Culture. I believe that his unique approach to figurative painting acts as a conduit. My goal is to draw the viewer to the canvas resulting in a visual and spiritual connection between Artist, Canvas and Viewer.
