Artist Statement

I make assemblage-style forms by fusing unexpected combinations of ordinary materials with simple fabrication methods. The resulting pieces explore the complexity of the human condition. My approach is intuitive, spontaneous, and uninhibited. The pieces may look reckless and haphazard, yet the messiness of detail is intentional. My artistic practice is an intimate, immersive inquiry guided by intuition and improvisation. Working experimentally and experientially, often with repetitive, elemental shapes, I draw on human emotion and personal narrative to create expressive forms that are dynamic, gutsy, and raw. I dream, dare big, and dig deep.
