Artist Statement

My work is based on my day to day experiences which I chronicle with my camera, constantly on the lookout for images that resonate with me. I find my ideas arrive primarily from time spent outdoors exploring the world and during time spent with family. I enjoy the process of printmaking, the layering of textures and colors to create the intended result. I have been influenced by Kiki Smith, Maurice Denis, Joan Brown and Viola Frey. I have been engaged in printmaking for five years.
