Terry and Sarah Snow

Artist Statement

Terry and Sarah Snow are Chaos Woods. We began collaborating in 2014 to make sculpture, gifts, turned vessels and bowls, wood burnings, toys, and unique home furnishings out of wood with surprising juxtapositions, exceptional craftsmanship, and a touch of chaos!

Each project starts with a piece of wood. We like to use locally sourced wood but these pieces take time to "season", which means we have to wait up to a year or more before the wood is stable enough to work. So, we also purchase and salvage wood with a goal toward environmental sustainability.

Our craftsmanship is rooted in woodworking traditions but we strive for original and unique outcomes. We enjoy sharing ideas and turning them into reality. We especially enjoy making each other laugh and hope our delight from working together transcends each piece.
