Artist Statement

I create detailed, realistic drawings using colored pencil and pastel, working primarily from photographs I’ve taken. I’m drawn to quiet, reflective moments, early morning light, meaningful places, and small experiences that carry emotional weight. The slow, meticulous process of layering color allows me to enter a meditative state, where attention to detail becomes both a discipline and a form of presence.
