With a total prize pool of NT$1.1 million, the 5th Jing Shan Creative Art Awards is now open for registration until September 30, 2026. We welcome creators from around the world to take part!
✧About the Awards
Since its inception in 2017, the Jing Shan Creative Art Awards marks its 5th edition this year. Guided by the vision of creating a “Borderless Public Art Platform,” the awards aim to nurture the next generation of talent and foster an environment for free, vibrant, and creative exchange.
✧Competition Theme
Xia Jing-Shan's calligraphy and painting works are rooted in tradition yet unconstrained by it; they draw on religious themes yet transcend religious boundaries, using line and color to convey benevolent intention and to create a visual language that soothes the human spirit.
Between art and life, between tradition and the contemporary, between religion and the human spirit — can we find connections across well-defined boundaries, and uncover new creative possibilities in the spaces in between?
We invite participants to engage with the creative spirit of Xia Jing-Shan, exploring new possibilities between boundaries and responding to contemporary needs through works of aesthetic, functional, and socio-cultural innovation.
✧ Eligibility
Open to individuals and teams of up to 5 members, regardless of nationality. Participants must be 16 years old or above.
✧ Work Requirements
Works must have been completed on or after June 1, 2026.
