The Gallery at WREN offers approximately 90 linear feet of hanging space. Exhibitions typically include 25 to 35 pieces, though the number will vary depending on the scale of individual works.
Please describe the the theme or story that your exhibit will tell. For proposals featuring the work of two or more artists, how does the work of one artist complement the other?
All work must be cleanly framed or finished for display. The Gallery at WREN uses a cable hanging system and D rings are recommended for compatibility. Clip frames and sawtooth hangers will not be accepted. Framing must be consistent throughout the exhibition with the back of each work as tidy as the front. All work must be offered for sale and delivered to the gallery at least by the Monday before the show opening.
Exhibiting artists are expected to attend the opening night reception, present an artist talk during the run of the show, and collect all work promptly after the closing date.
Exhibiting artists are encouraged to participate in marketing the exhibition through their own networks, social media accounts, and email lists. A social media presence and/or website is strongly encouraged.
All gallery sales are subject to WREN's commission structure, which is 45% of the sale price to WREN, and 55% of the sale price to the artist.
Proposals will be reviewed by our Gallery Committee, which includes the Gallery at WREN staff and board members, and local artists. We will notify entrants of our decision by June 1. At the discretion of the galley committee, artists may be given the opportunity to have work combined with other applicants and alternate exhibition dates may be offered.
We look forward to seeing your work and getting to know you as an artist!
