WCADC invites local women artists from DC, Maryland, and Virginia to create figurative and representational self-portraits using their choice of medium and style in portraying what they want the viewer to comprehend about them.

2-Dimensional Artworks: Are to be unframed 24 inches height x 18 inches width x 1.5 inches depth gallery wrap canvas drawing, painting, mounted photography, and/or mixed media, with ready-to-be-hung hardware.

Sculptural Works: Are to be no more than 36 inches height x 26 inches width x 26 inches depth and will be displayed on white pedestals.

Any artwork not meeting listed specifications will not be accepted.

Entry submission will be available only via Entrythingy: http://www.entrythingy.com with the current call listed as: 'What Do You See When You Look At Me'

The entry fee is $30 for non-members and $20 for current members of WCADC with a limit of three pieces per artist. Each JPG/PNG image file must be named with the artist's first_lastname_title (example: Vincent_Vangogh_Starrynight.jpg). Image file should not be larger than 5MB and 1400Px wide. Images should be clear, good quality, and taken without frames or additional text added.

Submission of work to this exhibition constitutes an agreement to the conditions stated in this prospectus and a commitment to show accepted work for the duration of the exhibition.

You will be required to provide the title of work, year created, medium, dimensions, sale price, and description under 260 characters on how the piece relates to the theme for each piece. All Work entered may be used as promotion for the exhibit and may appear in print or online.

All work must be wired and ready to be hung when it arrives at the space. This means wired with D-rings. D-rings should be installed no more than 1/3 of the way from the top of the artwork. Saw-tooth hangers will NOT be accepted. 3D sculpture is also accepted. Please ensure the correct spelling of your name and the title of your work. Instructions must be followed, or it may result in your entry not being included in the exhibition.

All applicants will receive email notifications of acceptance or non-acceptance. Please also make sure your Artist Statement in your EntryThingy Profile is up to date.

Any work submitted must not have been in any previous WCA exhibition AND created within the past 3 years.
