Attraction to Abstraction 2025

Wayne Art Center is pleased to announce this year's Call for Entry for 'Attraction to Abstraction 2025' a juried exhibition accompanying CraftForms, the 30th international exhibition of contemporary fine craft.

WAC adult students and members of the Wayne Art Center community are invited to submit up to three abstract paintings, works on paper and 2-D works for juror consideration for this exhibition. Work should have been created in the last two years and not previously shown at WAC. All paintings must be at least 24 inches in each direction (may include frame.)

Participating artists MUST be 18 years of age or older.

Artist and Wayne Art Center instructor, Kassem Amoudi serves as juror for entry for this exhibit.

Attraction to Abstraction will remain on view from December 6, 2025 through January 24, 2026 in Wayne Art Center's Vidinghoff & Lobby Galleries and will debut on December 6, 2025, the evening of this year's CraftForms Preview Party.

All artwork information and entry fees are to be submitted digitally with EntryThingy by midnight October 22. Notification of acceptance/decline will be shared via email on October 31.

Accepted artwork is to be hand-delivered to Wayne Art Center on Monday, November 25 between 10am -12pm. All work must be framed and ready to hang. D-rings are preferred for hanging. Deep, gallery-wrapped canvases with intentionally clean or painted sides are permitted.

Artists should record artwork ARTIST/TITLE/MEDIUM/SIZE/PRICE information with EntryThingy. Digital images of your artwork is required and may be used in WAC exhibition promotion. Jpegs must be under 10mb, and file names are requested as ARTISTS NAME_TITLE OF ARTWORK.

Work on exhibit must be available for sale. Wayne Art Center retains a 40% commission of works sold. Artists will receive payment on sales within 45 days of the closing date of this exhibition. A W9 form is required for processing commissions.
All work must remain on view through January 24, 2026. Unsold work is to be picked-up on Monday, January 26, 2026 between 10am-5pm.
