Water Street Studios 14th Anniversary Show

1. Entrants must have a Water Street Studios membership or be an affiliate as described in the Call for Entry. If needed, please join or update your membership at the link above.

2. Water Street Studios takes a 40% commission on all sales in the gallery, unless the artist is a Resident Artist or a member of the Water Street Studios Artist Collective, then a 30% commission from all sales is applied. All sales transactions during exhibition dates must be handled by Water Street Studios, not the individual artist. Exhibiting artist(s) will receive their percentage of sales no later than two weeks after the show ends. The gallery handles sales tax at the time of the sale. The handling of tax may change at any time; the gallery will communicate any changes to the artists.

3. Water Street Studios has insurance coverage that protects artwork on display in the Dempsey Family Gallery and the 2nd Floor Gallery. Insurance coverage may be provided for fire, theft and damage for a total value of $100,000 per occurrence, subject to a $250 deductible. In the event that Water Street Studios determines that a piece of art is damaged and may be eligible for coverage under its insurance policy, it will submit a claim for damages. To the extent the claim is successful, the artist will be paid in accordance with the terms of the insurance policy. Copies of the policy are available for review upon request. Water Street Studios is not responsible for any damage not covered by its insurance policy; including applicable deductible, amount above the maximum insurance, or a denied claim. This coverage only applies to items on display in the galleries.

4. Art remaining at the gallery after the designated pick-up deadline will be charged a $5 daily storage fee, unless arrangements have been made in advance. Artwork left after 30 days becomes property of Water Street Studios.

5. Artwork must be delivered ready to install. 2-D work must be prepared properly for hanging (ideally hung with wire), no sawtooth hangers on pieces larger that 8 x 10 inches.
Sculptures must sit sturdily on pedestal or floor. The gallery will provide pedestal unless artist is otherwise notified. If artwork weighs over 75 lbs, the artist must install it themselves.

6. Artwork must be labeled on the back with title, artist name, medium and price.

7. Water Street Studios is not responsible for providing protective barriers for artwork on display. If artist desires to have protective barriers such as rope, cases, etc. it must be approved by the Gallery Committee Chair before artwork drop off date.

7. WSS reserves the right to install accepted works in a manner deemed necessary for exhibition or security reasons. All work remains on exhibit for duration of show.
