Welcome! The Troutdale Art Market is truly not your usual Saturday market. We are an art market created and managed by artists, and are selecting fine artists and artisans who complement the quality of work in our studios. The Market is located on the Historic Columbia River Highway, just east of downtown, at the Troutdale Art Center. Application deadline. The application deadline is April 20, 2015. The application fee is $20.00 non-refundable. Notification by email will be completed by April 30th.
• Market open. 10:00a to 3:00p Saturdays between Memorial day weekend and Labor Day weekend [16 Saturdays].
• Market location. The Market will be set up in front of the Troutdale Art Center. Our property has a unique curved layout right on the bend of the Scenic Highway between downtown Troutdale and the bridge over the Sandy River, with wonderful traffic visibility in both directions. We are across the road from Glenn Otto Park on the river, which is always full in the summer, with easy access across the small creek bridge to the crosswalk. Vehicular traffic is constant past our location. Because of this, there are no bad spaces - everyone will be solidly in view and in foot trafic.
• Market layout and space assignment. A maximum of 20) 10'x10' stall spaces will be defined in the parking area in front of the building, with parking on the lot adjacent to the building.
• Booth Requirements. 10x10 or 8x10 canopy or walled booth. Picture of prior setup required in the application process. If you need more space, you may apply for two adjacent spaces (available only by advance payment with a commitment for the entire season).
• Weather. The Market will be open every Saturday, rain or shine. Please note requirement for weighting of canopy legs as wind is not unheard of in Troutdale : ).
• Cost. Cost is 35.00 per week, or 330.00 paid in advance for the 16-date season (a savings of 220.00).
• Attendance. We require a commitment from you to be at the Market at least ten of the sixteen dates to be accepted for primary 2015 booth space. If you do not wish to participate in at least ten Saturdays, please note on application that you would like to be considered for Reserve status.
• Reserve Artists. We will have juried Reserve positions available. When we have an artist booth scheduled out for a Saturday, we will contact the Reserve artists to offer the space for the week on a first come first serve basis. Note this space is available only if we have primary artists scheduled out.The Troutdale Art Market is open to booth artists whose fine art and craft is original, handcrafted work in any of the categories below. We expect participating artists to comply with the Rules of Participation explained later in this Call.
