The Philadelphia (PA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, invites artists to submit original work for Emerald Renaissance: Celebrating 80 Years of Exhibiting Excellence, a juried fine art exhibition marking the organization’s 80th anniversary.
For eight decades, The Links, Incorporated, has advanced the ideals of friendship and service, through the arts, education, and cultural leadership -- strengthening communities locally and internationally. This exhibition celebrates that legacy by featuring work that speaks to culture, history, connection, and shared responsibility.
Artists at all career stages - emerging, mid career, and established artists are encouraged to apply.
Exhibition Theme: Emerald Renaissance
Emerald Renaissance celebrates creativity as a catalyst for connection, leadership, and community impact. Drawing on the legacy of The Links, Incorporated, the exhibition invites artists to consider how Black women - through friendship and service-have used the arts, education, and cultural leadership to uplift communities across generations and beyond geographic boundaries.
The exhibition explores how art:
• Strengthens relationships and shared purpose
• Reflects cultural leadership and creative legacy
• Supports education, service, and community growth
• Connects past, present, and future through collective care
Entry Fee: $25 fee per (1) piece - ENTRY FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE
Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly through personal, cultural, historical, or contemporary perspectives.
ABOUT THE JURORS:
Adrian J. Moody
Adrian J. Moody is a gallerist, collector, and trusted advisor with more than four decades of engagement in the visual arts. As co owner of Moody Jones Gallery, he brings a refined curatorial sensibility and a collector’s perspective to the selection and presentation of artists whose work demonstrates formal rigor, conceptual clarity, and artistic integrity. His experience spans juried exhibitions and service as a judge for student art shows, informing a discerning eye for quality and emerging talent.
Roz McPhearson
Rosalyn J. McPherson, widely known as Roz, is a respected arts and cultural leader with decades of experience in museum administration, exhibition development, educational programming, and cultural tourism. As former Senior Vice President for the Science Center at The Franklin Institute, she oversaw visitor experience initiatives including exhibit development, the IMAX Theater, retail operations, and the Fels Planetarium. Through her consulting firm, The Roz Group, and its creative division RozDezign, she has developed innovative traveling exhibitions and educational concepts that explore culture, science, identity, and community engagement.
Shelley Sylva
Shelley R. Sylva is a passionate advocate for the arts and a recognized leader in advancing opportunities for diverse artists and cultural organizations. As Head of Corporate Citizenship at TD Bank, Shelley has played a key role in supporting initiatives that elevate Black artists and strengthen Philadelphia’s creative community through partnerships with organizations such as Mural Arts Philadelphia and the Mann Center for the Performing Arts. A dedicated art collector in her personal life and a trusted advisor on TD Bank’s national art investments, Shelley has a deep appreciation for works that celebrate culture, community, and diverse artistic voices.
