This national juried exhibition will celebrate 'The Great Race' as it travels through Franklin, IN. All forms of visual art are eligible for consideration.
$25 submission fee per entry. Discounts for each additional entry.
$500 1st place award.
The Franklin Department of Public Art invites you to apply to participate in this exciting juried event in a post card worthy small Indiana town. Our area boasts a beautiful downtown, extensive park systems, an art deco theatre, and a vibrant community. Come join us as The Great Race (greatrace.com) and its thousands of spectators make their way to Franklin and stop for an overnight.

Ann’s recent interests and obsessions have been ever so widening, but more specifically include antipodes; constructing meaning in paintings through physical actions as metaphors; layering, shredding, and weaving translucent surfaces; cutouts as drawings; mythological archetypes; and the collapse of the way we understand time and location.
SUBMITTING IMAGES:
Images need to be entered online at https://www.entrythingy.com/
Images should be formatted to 1920 pixels @72dpi on the longest side.
Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space preferred.
If using a Macintosh, please use only letters and numbers in your filename and only 1 period (.)

FEES:
Please submit a $25 entry fee.
ELIGIBILITY:
Artists must be 18 years or older. Paintings entered to the event must be completed. Entries must not violate copyright laws. All works must be ready to exhibit. Paintings must be framed with flat-lying wired grommets 1/3 from the top. Grommets on a thick frame are to be only 3” from the top. Artist’s Name, Phone #, Title & Price must be on the back of painting.
SALES:
On the day of the show’s opening, June 27th, 2017, FDPA will charge a 15% commission on sales. After opening day, the commission rate will be 25%.
LODGING/TRANSPORTATION:
The town has bed and breakfast options within walking distance of the gallery. http://theflyingfrogbedandbreakfast.com/ and http://ashleydrakeinn.com/. There are also hotels closer to I-65.

Artists participating in the Juried Events of this show agree to allow reproduction privileges of their award winning art for education, fund raising, or publicity purposes only. By submitting this entry the participant acknowledges their responsibility
