City of Sturgeon Bay Outdoor Loan Sculpture

• Please submit an artist’s statement (max. 500 words) and a short statement about the piece and its relevance to this call. A downloadable application can be obtained from the City’s website.
• Include digital photos of the piece. Photos of a finished or in-progress piece will be accepted, as well as sketches of a planned piece.
• All sculpture mediums suitable for outdoor display are acceptable. Pieces must be anchored to the ground.
• Pieces should be ready to install upon delivery. Please have the piece finished 30 days before installation.
• Transport and installation of the piece will be the responsibility of the artist. However, assistance from the City’s Department of Public Works may be available depending upon the original location.
• The loan period is 2-3 years as negotiated. If the piece is sold before the end of the first year on display, we ask the artist to commit to keeping the piece in place for one year following installation. If the piece is sold after the one-year mark, the artist may remove it at their expense. In either case, the artist may offer a second piece for consideration by the Local Arts Board.
• Fill out the application that can be found at www.sturgeonbaywi.org and click on the Call for Art link found on the homepage.
• Your electronic submission must include the completed application and digital photos/sketches.
