Building Blocks: What are we building with?

BUILDING BLOCKS: WHAT ARE WE BUILDING WITH? Every creation begins with a single element. Whether it is a stroke of paint, a block of wood, a spark of imagination, the structures of our world are assembled piece by piece. How do the individual components you choose dictate the meaning of the final structure for: your artwork, your life or your community?

This is an open call for a blind juried exhibition from the St. Charles Arts Council, to be held at the St. Charles Arts Council Gallery in historic downtown St. Charles, IL.
All art mediums are excepted, 3D art encouraged including assemblage art.

ENTRY FEES:
$35 Non-Members & $20 SCAC Members. Please choose from drop-down menu for tiered pricing.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Artwork previously displayed in any SCAC exhibits or shows are NOT eligible.
Artwork must be original and created within the last 7 years.
You must be able to attend pickup and dropoff dates as scheduled
All artwork MUST be for SALE

IMPORTANT DATES:
Drop off August 31st, 2pm-6pm
Opening Reception Thursday, September 10th, 5pm - 7pm
Pickup October 26th, 2pm-6pm
*If you're unable to attend please make arrangements for someone to attend in your place. Our gallery does not have proper or adequate space to store your artwork. Any work left behind will be stored in our closet. The St. Charles Arts Council is not liable for any damage.

AWARDS:
Awards will be given during the opening reception, giving time for all participating artists to arrive.
Best in Show: $150
2nd Place: $75
3rd Place: $50
Honorable Mentions - as determined by the judge
