19th Annual Louisiana Fine Arts Showcase

In this entry form, you will be asked to include:

Artist Statement / Biography (Written in the third person
perspective; 125 words maximum)

Artworks should be no larger than 60" on any side for 2D artwork. 3D artwork must be able to fit through a standard doorway or be able to be shown outside.

Accepted work must be delivered to the SLU Art Office 411 Ned McGehee Drive, Hammond, LA 70402 by June 11th, 2026 to be included in the catalog and exhibition.

Artwork will be returned to the gallery in the summer of 2027 where artists will be able to pick up their work.

Artworks can also be sent via FedEx if a return shipping label is provided by the artist.

3D artwork will not be shipped and must be picked up by the artist. All 2D artwork must be framed and ready to hang. Pedestals are available for small 3D artworks.

Functional artwork such as ceramics and furniture design are acceptable.

Artwork will be judged by a committee through digital images only for content, quality, curatorial thematic consideration, and placement of artwork in the residence. Previous participation in the showcase does not guarantee acceptance.

The selection committee may elect to reject artwork after arrival if the artwork is different from that of the images submitted. The selection committee will choose which artwork will be in the show from your entries.

Your completion of this application indicates your agreement to participate in the exhibition.

Southeastern Louisiana University will insure all artwork while the artwork is on campus including the Contemporary Art Gallery and the President's Residence in case of damage by fire or weather-related events. If the artist requires more insurance it is suggested they purchase 'wall to wall' insurance.

Artists are responsible for insuring the artwork while in transit to and from the University. Shipped 2D artwork is insured for up to $500 and will be returned via FedEx from the gallery if the artist is not local.

Acceptance to exhibit is an agreement by the artist allowing permission to photograph and reproduce accepted artwork for the exhibition, future show promotions, education, and publicity purposes.
