Opportunities for visual fine artists of all kinds to make a difference in the quest to end gun violence. Accepted artists will be paired with a family member who has lost someone to gun violence. With the help of the family's shared photographs, videos, memorabilia, and the all important stories, the artist will get to know the person. The portraits will be in an exhibition that will travel for one year to several host venues in the Seattle area. Artists retain ownership of the portrait. Artists and family member participants receive a full color catalog featuring the portraits and commentary. Full color archival prints of the portraits are provided to the families. This is a transformational experience that changes lives! Visitors to the exhibitions come away with a new understanding of the human cost of gun violence and our country's inattention to gun safety.
