Exhibition
Nov 2
- Dec 1, 2024
After air and water, food is the most important thing in our lives and is expressed in seemingly infinite ways around the world. This exhibition seeks to revere food and everything associated with it; growing it, eating it, storing it, wasting it, and everything that evokes. Entries are sought in any medium, both 2D and 3D. Our jurors will be a famous San Francisco Bay Area Michelin star chef and a multi-media Bay Area artist, both of whom consider food an art form.
Mediums and Dimensions:
All mediums are welcome: oil, watercolor, fiber, pastel, acrylic, photography, drawings in charcoal, color pencil or graphite, sculptures and vessels in clay, bronze, marble, terra cotta, fiberglass, resin or wood. Electronic creations should include the means of storing and displaying the artwork.
Please note that no giclée prints will be accepted, unless the artwork was originally digitally created. In order to promote artists currently creating in the community, we are asking for work produced in the last 5 years.
Show Awards:
1st Place $300
2nd Place $200
3rd Place $100
Two $50 Coordinator's awards
